On January 21, 2013 my life was forever changed for the better when our precious daughter was born. Suddenly finding ourselves responsible for the well-being of this helpless baby prompted me to start learning all I can about the "crunchier" side of things, living more naturally and trusting our bodies to know what they're doing because that's what they were created to do. Since becoming Mama I have been transformed from a mainstream "by the booker", to a breastfeeding, co-sleeping, gentle parenting, natural products using, organic produce buying, researching everything, "semi-crunchy" mama bear.
My part time office job at a non-profit keeps me busy when I'm not at home, and helps me appreciate the time I have with my family all the more.
Diagnosed in 2010 with an autoimmune disease that commonly causes inflammation, extreme fatigue and joint pain, I'm still trying to learn how to balance all this life has given me. I think the secret is lots of love, faith and prayer, as well as "picking your battles" so to speak and viewing things more globally rather than focusing on all the little pitfalls.
Life is good, God is great, and I am one blessed mama!
